Even if you're not new to SCing, it's a good idea to remember the basics!
Always bring lots of res scrolls, even if you don't expect to need them - even if you have a hard res on your bar, you never know when you'll need a scroll. If someone has to use a scroll on you (and it wasn't your fault you died), it's polite to offer to pay them back.
If your team asks you to get on voice-chat, get on. If you're completely unable or unwilling, and your team won't make an exception for you, don't argue about it - politely apologise and leave the team.
Keep your pcons and your weapons on your character at all times - it's far too easy to forget them, and they won't do any good sitting in your storage. Passage scrolls can be used without taking them out of the chest, so you might as well leave them in there, but if you don't have enough of everything else to put some on each SC character, buy more.
If anyone asks to see your build, or your equipment, or even your pcons, show them. Unless they are actually being rude, you should assume they're just trying to be helpful or are curious.
When you attempt a new role, or something you're not totally confident on, make sure you tell the entire team in party chat - don't just whisper someone and expect them to explain to everyone else that you're inexperienced. If the team decides they would rather take someone who is less likely to fail, don't argue about it - it's nobody's responsibility to carry you while you're learning.
Watch your compass. This is applicable even in general PvE: if you aggro something unnecessarily, it can cause a wipe.
If someone requests a party re-order, and their job requires them to target team members, don't argue about it - re-ordering isn't going to harm you in any way.
As soon as you're ready to start, tick up. If you stop being ready (e.g. you need to go AFK or you realise you forgot something), immediately untick.
If you have any questions about what you're supposed to do, ask - preferably before the run begins, but also be prepared to listen to instructions during the run.
Never rage-quit! In the event that you need to leave before the run completes, make sure you explain to your team and apologise. When possible, try not to join runs where you might not have time to stay to the end.
